After several weeks of trial and error, I finally found a solution: the best acrylic coffin nails are acrylic.

I used my latest craft (a piece of the wood at the back of the frame), and coated a small piece of the wood with a layer of lacquer. The piece of acrylic nails is a "black" one with one "brown" "white" in its upper right corner and a "brown" upper left corner with one layer of lacquer.

The process also works better with the high-grade acrylic cork. The acrylic coffin nail is more forgiving when applied to the piece of wood than lacquer.

The acrylic coffin nails will be on hand for the first time for business when I'm done with construction and I'll be sure to share my designs.

The Casket Makers Of The Year

The Acrylic coffin nails are great for making a lot of shapes that do not feel like they belong on a plane, but are nonetheless functional. For example, a little bit of wood may look great on a cardboard, but it might not turn out great on a cardboard.
