If you have not been inspired to create a life from thin-film acrylic with a variety of plastic, this is one way you could turn it into a practical piece of art. The pieces are finished in color-grade high-quality acrylic and are made from high-velocity acetate, or other paints that will be kept cool.

A simple process that has proven far more beneficial to my artwork than anything else.

How It Works:

A couple of different things will be needed from you as you create a piece for illustration and, perhaps, video, to show you things that you can do with your painting.

Step 1: Set the canvas

For our prototype, we simply used a sheet of 100-lb. acrylic. Once it was dry, we used a pair of sandblasters to set the canvas, then using the acrylic to build the frame.

Step 2: Add 3D modeling

After three weeks of doing all that, we set all the layers of acrylic in the painting as opposed to using a sheet of paint, just enough to bring it all together.

Step 3: Dry up

Here's a little video from my Kickstarter that explains all the steps in less than 12 hours. Then, we go to the studio to get the piece done.

And, it looks great.
